Kyrie Irving
Many ask who the best point guard in the nation is? Before Kyrie Erving got hurt, he made Duke basically unbeatable. He was the best player on the best team in the nation. They are only going to get better if Kyrie Irving is 75% of what he was before the toe injury on December 4th. With Kyrie Irving, Duke will become the number one favorite to repeat for the national championship again. He makes Duke a team that will be almost an impossible out, and no team will want to see them later on in the tournament. The rest of the field better hop that Duke gets out early or else they will all be playing for second place come final 4 time.

Butler Bulldogs
Last night, the cinderella story of last year, Butler won their conference tournament and therefor earned a spot in the NCAA tournament again. They started off with a struggle, but at the end of the season they reached their goal. Sure no one is expecting them to make the run they did last year. They are without their former best player Gordon Hayward. However, the feel good story will have a lot of people paying attention to them in the tournament. One thing is definitely true, no team will look at the bracket and say that Butler is a blow off game. They are an experienced team that will be expected to win a game or two come tournament time. Coach Brad Stevens and the Bulldogs just made March Madness that much better after their win over Wisconsin-Milwaukee last night.

The Heat
As the schedule gets tough, the Miami Heat start to falter. They have lost their last four games, proving that they are still not ready to hang with the big teams in the league. Multiple times they have lead by a lot going into the second half. They end up blowing the game due to a lack of scoring at the end of their games. They are 1-8 against the top 5 teams in the league. They have no supporting cast and teams just heavily shadow LeBron and Wade at the end of games. This a huge problem that they must fix because in the playoffs most games are very close at the end. They have two players that get to the free throws most in the league. The free throw line should be their best friend.

WGC Match Play Championships
This past weekend the worlds best golfers collided at Dove Mountain, Arizona for the match play championships. After Tiger Woods had an early field attention went to world #1 Lee Westwood and #2 Martin Kaymer. Kaymer ran through the field as Westwood lost in the second round. He became the new number one after he made it to the finals of the tournament. However, the story of the week was Luke Donald. He had not won on US soil in five years. He never made it to the 18th hole in all of his matches. He dominated and did the same against Kaymer on Sunday. Not even a surprise snow in Arizona could stop Donald's hot streak. Donald won and became the new #3 in the world rankings.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.
This past weekend was the 10th anniversary of the death of a Nascar legend Dale Earnhardt. He was on the top of the sport when he had a horrific accident that cost him his life. Throughout the career of Earnhardt Jr., he has been overshadowed by his fathers presence and sometimes it has been overwhelming. He finished first and has the poll for the Daytona 500. Most people including myself would love to see a win for him. It would make a great story and maybe it would put the questions about Earnhardt's driving in the rear-view mirror.

Winter X
The conclusion of the X Games 15 was very explosive as it ended with a bang. Four time defending champion Shaun White won his 4th golf medal in a row in the game. After being down after the first round, White pulled off a trick never seen before and he recorded the highest point total in the history of the games. Shaun White was recently named the second most marketable athlete in the world behind only Peyton Manning. His revolutionary style and flare is what has made the sport develop. He is the model for teen success and is a Michael Jordan for the sport of Snowboarding.
